Randy & Manilla
You start in Bloxland Qubitown, home of Randy and Manilla, when a messaging algorithm called E-Mailer arrives with an urgent warning that the whole cyber-universe is in danger. Randy & Manilla sends you through a series of glowing Net-Cubes, each one a small world built around a different video game genre, to stop Cracksom Virus from deleting them all.

Net-Cubes and Quantum Worlds in Randy & Manilla
Each Net-Cube is a world of its own, and each world provides a distinct kind of play. Levels inside represent different video game genres, so you never spend an entire session doing the same thing. Three Net-Cubes are highlighted for what they offer:
- Terra-Qubit, with levels based on the platform genre
- Gamezone Cube, with giant arcade machines and several nods to classic games
- Rol & Rogue, with battles and dungeons in the style of rogue-lite and RPG games
The game runs on a colorful mix of voxel and pixel visuals that suits the quantum cyber-universe theme. Early Access currently offers more than 40 levels spread across 9 Net-Cubes, a solid amount for a game that is still growing.
Because levels change genre so often, expect variety over depth in any single mechanic. Players who enjoy a mix of styles will feel at home, while those who want one deeply refined system may prefer to wait for later updates.
Terra-Qubit and the Platforming Side of the Adventure
Terra-Qubit is the natural place to start, since its levels follow the platform genre and lean on jumping, timing, and exploring. Early in the game you will spend much of your time here learning how Randy or Manilla moves, and controller support makes the jumping feel comfortable.
Beginners usually treat every jump as a guess and end up with a string of falls. Slowing down, watching the level layout, and using the camera before you leap saves far more time than rushing, especially in the trickier sections.
Platformer fans are the crowd most likely to enjoy this part. Once you learn the rhythm of the jumps, Terra-Qubit becomes a friendly warm-up before the game starts throwing different genres at you.
Gamezone Cube Arcade Machines and Rol & Rogue Dungeons
By the time you reach Gamezone Cube, the game changes tone. Giant arcade machines fill the level, and the nods to classic games are meant for retro fans who enjoy spotting familiar ideas in a new setting.
Rol & Rogue moves in another direction. Battles and dungeons follow rogue-lite and RPG conventions, so instead of jumping you are managing fights and exploring, and the change of pace is the whole point of the Net-Cube structure.
That variety is the game’s biggest strength and its biggest question mark. A design that jumps between genres always invites doubts about whether each one is polished, and Early Access means levels and characters may still be redesigned. Only a small number of reviews exist so far, and all of them are positive.
Cracksom Virus, E-Mailer, and the Story Stakes in Randy & Manilla
The story is set in the year 2142, inside the quantum supercomputer that holds the Net-Cubes. Cracksom Virus rules the red Net-Cube and wants to delete the others so he can spread computing corruption into the real world, which humans have abandoned.
E-Mailer becomes your guide and opens portals to each new Net-Cube. Mayor Blue Quantáramo tells the heroes that they carry a hidden programming that keeps Cracksom Virus from corrupting them, which is why the mission falls to Randy and Manilla.
Plans include new Net-Cubes with new mechanics and history, delivered through three big updates, so the story is unfinished. A demo is available, which is a good way to try the platforming before you commit.
